 The global Strategic Partnerships Team (SPT) is responsible for working with our field sales teams to drive the largest deals at Microsoft to provide digital transformation solutions for our most strategic Fortune 500 customers. Partnering across the Industry Solution Organization, SPT combines resources, experience, and investments to charter new ground in strategic partnerships that enable digital transformation based on Microsoft cloud solutions across Azure, Dynamics, and Business Productivity.
As the Content & Communications Manager for our SPT organization in APJ, 80% of your time will be spent working with SPT Account Executives and Technical Directors to create and manage customer-ready assets that are critical to the pursuit of large, strategic customer opportunities by the team – taking templates and helping the account teams customize them as needed (content, layout, graphics, etc.) and providing guidance to ensure the final assets are compelling, streamlined, and in line with our highest customer-ready standards.
In addition, the role helps to identify and curate best practices and ensure assets and content are readily available and shared across the team in APJ and globally across the entire SPT organization – working and collaborating with the other regional SPT Content & Communications managers. A portion of the time will be devoted to managing and creating content for all-hands/group meetings, executive briefings, team/org announcements, etc.
Approximately 20% of the time will be spent on Communications – sharing information through email and instant messaging/collaboration tools, working with the team to ensure public professional profiles (LinkedIn) are up-to-date and relevant public information is shared and refreshed regularly (e.g. public customer win stories, open job opportunities, etc.
Work with SPT Sales Leads, Technical Directors, and Sales Managers to understand the business and support the sales process with content & communications expertise within the region and across the SPT organization
Help sales teams create professional customer-facing materials to ensure standard look and feel for large deal pursuits
Leverage existing best practices and templates to streamline execution; gather feedback and provide insights for improvement
Build, adopt, and maintain a content management strategy to help sales teams easily leverage content and assets across opportunities
Create and adopt a communications strategy to support the regional team
Collaborate with other program managers across SPT and relevant resources in other parts of Microsoft to best support the execution of the SPT sales process to accelerate and successfully close customer opportunities
Qualifications
A strong candidate will possess the following:
Strong communication, executive presence, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Exceptional skills and proven experience using Microsoft Office 365 – particularly PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
Ability to create compelling, professional presentations and other assets
Ability to engage and influence individuals at all levels of the organization
Flexibility to handle directional changes with the ability to juggle moving priorities to ensure project success
Proven ability to assess business needs, prioritize accordingly and escalate appropriately
Proven cross-team collaboration skills in complex organizations; experience working a large high-tech company preferred
Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes unpredictable work environment
Self-starter who can balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
