Name and description of the hiring department:

The BCE Inc. Pension Group is looking for a Pension Consultant in order to provide consulting services to a clientele comprised of business units from Bell Canada and its affiliates. This team is responsible for the design, the administration, the registration and the actuarial valuation in respect of Bell Canada pension plans.

BCE Inc. is a subsidiary of Bell Canada, specialized in human resources management and corporate services. Its mandate is to provide internal consulting services to Bell Canada and its affiliates.
 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects that involve:

• Actuarial valuations
• Collaboration with the external administrator to address day-to-day issues
• Mandates related to asset liability management
• Pension committees’ presentations
• Various tasks related to other savings plans

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-pace and ambiguous environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and information effectively
• To work and make decisions independently
• High level of initiative, displaying the ability to recognize and anticipate what needs to be done
• Be flexible and able to work with changing parameters
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional project teams & colleagues
• Strong team orientation
• Effective organizational skills
• Ability to analyze results and provide recommendations
• Strong sense of urgency; results and action oriented to deliver
• Programming skills

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

• University degree in actuarial sciences

• Between 3 to 8 years of related experience
• Willingness to specialize in Pension
• Solid analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Team spirit

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

• Global knowledge of pension
• High degree of proficiency in MS office applications and VBA

Bilingualism is required for this positions.
