EY’s Strategy and Transactions (SaT) division offers corporate, government and private equity clients’ professional transaction advice and services during a merger, acquisition, divestment, and other structural business transition (a “transactionâ€). We support our clients from the strategic analysis phase, through to deal execution. Our services range from complex IT due diligence, post-merger IT integration, IT carve out/separation and post deal value enhancement.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Consultant within the Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) IT team in our Melbourne office, which performs IT management consulting services for transactions. This role is offered on a flexible part-time or full-time basis.
As part of the TSE IT team, you will provide management consulting support to clients throughout the deal lifecycle, including analysing IT environments and providing key insights from your experience as an IT professional. Our services range from complex IT M&A due diligence, M&A IT projects (post-merger IT integration, IT carve out/separation) and post deal value enhancement.
This is a key role where you will have the opportunity to be part of a growing Melbourne team.
Your key responsibilities
Work well within a team environment delivering IT due diligence, IT post-merger integration and IT separation projects
Review technology considerations relating to client’s acquisitions, divestments or mergers
Produce written work products and reports of the highest quality
Develop effective client relationships at the appropriate client level
Strive for the highest levels of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products
Skills and attributes for success
A key interest and an educational background in Technology
A desire to continue your personal development across Technology domains
Effective problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking
Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with senior oversight and guidance
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Ability to accept and thrive on feedback in order to add value
Project management,project co-ordination or business analyst experience
Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and other research tools
Ideally, you’ll also have
A good understanding of corporate IT environments such as infrastructure, ERP systems and other business applications
Knowledge of software architecture and development practices
Management Consulting or Professional Services experience
Exposure to mergers and acquisitions
