We are looking for a Consultant to join our Entity Compliance and Governance team (Company Secretarial) in any one of our Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth offices. Your key responsibilities

 

Proactive management of own portfolio of domestic and global multi-national companies.

Providing corporate secretarial compliance support to external clients and internal EY stakeholders, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard and within our commercial operating mode. This will include prepariation and completion of statutory forms, minutes and resolutions, supporting legal documents and lodging documents with ASIC and related regulatory authorities. Through developing strong relationships with clients, you will be responsible for delivering technical support and governance and best practice advice.

Providing support to the global Subsidiary Management team, which will include project management support on large scale engagements. Applying your organisational and project management skills you will work across multiple projects and clients both autonomously and as a team member collaborating with our global network of resources.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

To qualify for the role you must have

 

Tertiary qualifictions with a legal, business or other relevant qualification such as the Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance.

Minimum 2 years’ experience providing corporate secretarial services in a legal firm/professional services firm/ consulting organization with a good understanding of the Corporations Act 2001.

Experience in providing transactional corporate secretarial support and board supportincluding attending and minuting meetings, drafting board resolutions, registering new companies, branch offices and an understanding of the issues and requirements in respect of the same.

Experience using Diligent/Blueprint Oneworld, CAS360, GEMS or similar corporate secretarial database and technology platforms.

Exceptional attention to detail,organisational and time management skills to prioritise competing deadlines, a strong work ethic and exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

A strong commercial awareness and practical experience delivering modern corporate secretarial services.

The ability to take initiative to research and discover information independently and enjoy working in a high paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.

Experience of client relationship management in a client-facing role.

Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with timesheet entry and billing systems.
