What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the CHT Health Promotion Focal Person (HPFP) to conduct community engagement and work with community health structures such as the Community Health Committees (CHCs), Trained Traditional Midwives (TTMs), elders, and focus groups on the project communities.
• Co-design projects and activities that will strengthen the community’s ownership of the NCHA Program and hold the community accountable for the effective operation of Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities through the Health Facility Development Committees (HFDCs).
• Collaborate with the HPFP of the CHT to share community based monthly health performance data and work with the communities to initiate improvement planning.
• In collaboration with the HPFP, organize community engagement meetings and gauge the community’s support for planned activities
• Both at county and district levels, support regular program meetings to ensures strong coordination and appropriate relationships among program implementation staff (CHSS, QAOs, MERL & Digital Health)
• In collaboration with the HPFP, establish and promote a community-health system feedback mechanism/framework to the community to keep the community informed of the performance of the community health system.
• With support from the County Manager, TA-HSD and TA-HSS, s/he may lead in the dissemination of LMH’s community engagement activities to partners at the different forums in the county.

What You’ll Bring

• PA/RN/RM; degree in sociology, public health, with emphasis on community health is an added advantage; a degree in development related fields is also encouraged.

• 3-5 years of work experience in rural community health programming

You’ll Impress Us If

• You have  experience working along with the government (MOH/CHT) and other partners.
• You have experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• An NGO work experience is an added advantage.

• You have experience in working in a culture-sensitive environment.
• You you have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
