Job Description

Second Nature Charitable Trust operates the Vodafone Events Centre and Vector Wero Whitewater Park in Manukau and runs the largest schools programme of its kind.

In this role, you will be part of a small team that deliver big results whilst managing diverse tasks with little supervision.

This diverse and active role coordinates our event centre's schools programme and delivers marketing tasks for both the events centre and white water park. It is a part-time 30 hours/week position and in this role, you will…

  • Be a people person who will coordinate our arts programme's bookings and attendance
  • Coordinate programme requirements including venue, programme partners, contracts, educators, suppliers, contractors, etc
  • Meet and greet schools and teachers during our programmes and be the main point of contact
  • Work with Customer Service Managers and the Front of House team
  • Coordinate sponsored school activities and events at the events centre
  • Collate programme feedback and create reports
  • Provide great communication skills and be positive and confident over the phone
  • Create and write short articles and communications requirements
  • Create content and maintain social media accounts
  • Maintain and update websites, online listings and other digital requirements
  • Take basic photos and video clips of activities at the events centre and white water park
  • Coordinate production of programme resources, documents, and marketing material
  • Coordinate email updates and promo campaigns
  • Provide general admin and office support
  • Knowledge of NZ Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and school processes is an advantage but not required

The successful candidate will need…

  • A NZ Citizenship/Permanent Residency, a full driver’s license and a police background check
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • High digital competency and social media savvy
  • Experience in Microsoft apps particularly with Excel
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and eagerness to learn new software or apps
  • Basic to Intermediate photography and video is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge in social media, digital marketing and email campaigns is an advantage
