The Company:

This main contractor has a market great reputation built over decades. They are well structured from top to bottom allowing delegation of decision making and empowerment of staff. They are now on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor interested to step into a Commercial Manager role or a current Commercial Manager to lead and provide financial management across all of their current and future project pipeline. They are a contractor continuing to experience a consistent increase in work load.

Reporting into a Director.

Your duties will involve:

• Commercial project leadership
• Being involved with estimating and tendering
• Liaising with sub-contractors & clients
• Financial reporting & cost monitoring / projection
• Preparation, submission and negotiation of Interim and Final accounts
• Managing a team of QS’s with ongoing mentoring

You will need to possess the following to apply:

• A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
• Experience working for a Main Contractor, at least 10 years in NZ
• Experience working on commercial projects over $20M in value
• Advanced level of contract law knowledge
• Strong systems skills
• Ability to manage a team, guide and ensure their on going professional development
• Ability to spot opportunities to make return better margins
• You bring passion, motivation and a positive attitude
