Job Description

This role includes but is not limited to booking inpatient theatre lists, outpatient clinics, waiting list management, and reception work on the Maternity ward and general administration tasks. You will be required to respond effectively to general enquires and maintain good relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff and most importantly, patients.

The successful applicant must be a proven team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, a willingness to work innovatively and find solutions, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and clinical staff. You will need to have well developed computer skills and practice excellent time management. Your friendly disposition, responsiveness and personal commitment to professional excellence will ensure you can deliver the great service that is important to success in this role. 

The successful applicant needs to be prepared to work flexible hours Monday to Sunday to meet department requirements and be willing to adapt to change as the service grows.  

A working knowledge within a hospital environment and patient management system would be desirable but full training will be provided.
