Location and Position description

We are currently seeking for Chefs /cooks to join our busy venue at Cooma Ex-services Club, NSW .

Required duties and responsibilities of a Chef/Cook: 

• Overall Supervision on food stock
• Placing orders when necessary
• Assist in hiring other staffs
• Prompt training of cooks and other staffs
• To plan and cost extensive menus
• Prioritising menu plan requirement
• Arrange dietary requirement in menu planning
• Estimate food requirements, proportioning of food
• Assuring proper presentation as per the guidelines
• Perform and counsel on cooking procedures and techniques
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
• Ordering and controlling kitchen stocks and quality maintenance of perishable items
• Converse with managers, supervisors, dietary specialists, and other kitchen staffs about operational and food preparation problems
• Delegating tasks to other staff within the kitchen

$60,000 - $80,000 +Super [Full-time Position]

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience preferably in bistro.
• Trade Qualifications preferred.
• Current FSS Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Must have experience in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to work split shifts, evenings and weekends.
