Salary: 54-60k per annum

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Diploma in Cookery, Hospitality or equivalent or three years of experience as a Chef leading a full commercial kitchen or tam of Chefs and Cooks in a full-service restaurant or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience in Filipino Cuisine in a commercial capacity

  • Able to supervise a kitchen team of up to 4 direct reports
  • Able to delegate tasks and work collaboratively with managerial staff

  • Ability to take on establishes systems, to maintain the space, manage stock and minimize waste and also improve them
  • Creativity with menus and recipe creation
  • Able to manage cost and update menu prices and costings when required
  • Able to transform glutinous recipes into gluten-free meals
  • Confident palate
  • Knowledge and experience with Filipino culinary techniques, ingredients, knife skills, carving skills and flavours
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule and assess staff’s performance.
  • Order and manage supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulation and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
  • Ensuring that the kitchen operates  in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Cleaning and ensuring Kitchen is meeting Food Safety Requirements
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices.

Employment Experience

Minimum of one-year experience as a Chef, successfully leading a full commercial kitchen or team of Chefs and Cooks in a similar type of full-service restaurant or equivalent experience
