GOLDEN HOUSE VIETNAMESE AND CHINESE RESTAURANT Shop 15 1 Springfield Lakes Blvd Springfield Lakes QLD 4300 Ph: 3818 7738 Position: Chef (Full-time) Salary: $60,000 plus Superannuation Golden House Vietnamese and Chinese Restaurant, located in Ipswich, Brisbane is currently searching for an experienced chef to join our small but effective team. You will have experience in a busy but well organised Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant with a focus on quality foods and customer service. Your role will include but not be limited to the following ? Preparing and cooking a variety of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine ? Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements ? Creating prep lists for kitchen staff ? Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment ? Portioning, plating up the food and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes ? Ensuring all food is of great quality, excellent presentation standard and served in a timely manner ? Taking stock of ingredients and equipment and placing orders to replenish stock ? Maintaining standard for food storage, rotation, quality and appearance ? Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality ? Planning restaurant menus and seasonal changes ? Creating new dishes ? Training kitchen staff to prepare and cook all the menu items ? Overseeing all kitchen operations ? Ensuring compliance with health codes and regulations ? Enforcing safety and sanitary standard in the kitchen ? Taking direction from Head Chef in regarding to ordering, food preparations and function requirements To be considered, you must meet the following requirements below: ? Certificate III in Commercial Cookery ? Have at least 2-year-experience in a similar role ? Have a good knowledge of hospitality industry: compliance and understanding of food safety policy and procedures (HACCP), compliance and understanding of hospitality venue safety and procedures ? Have rights to work in Australia (Sponsorship available for the right candidate) ? Have good communication skills ? Attention to detail with a focus consistency ? A positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude
