Job tasks and responsibilities;
- Answering telephone calls
- Patient, Medicare/DVA and Private Health Fund billing
- Surgery bookings, including surgery quotations
- Possess highly developed verbal and written communications skills
Skills and experiences;
- Prior medical receptionist experience preferred
On top of the skills and experiences listed for each individual role, the successful candidate will need to;
- Meet and greet all patients in a cheerful, polite manner whilst under pressure
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Facilitate the smooth running of a busy surgical practice, including running consulting sessions offsite
- Strong teamwork ethic and commitment to work
- Ability to multitask, work under stress and show initiative
- Experience with Medical (we use Genie Solutions) and Microsoft Softwares
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (personal transportation required), as may be required to travel off-site
- Able to assist the typing of medical correspondences with speed and accuracy
- Contribute to and take initiative towards all jobs needing to be done in the practice, keeping rooms clean, tidy and well stocked
