The Consumption Excellence Manager will lead the overall execution of various consumption motions for the Defense Business Unit all up. This person plays a pivotal role in accelerating consumption revenue, market share and strategic business outcomes by establishing and fostering collaborative partnerships within the business unit and with other Federal and Microsoft organizational leaders and stakeholders, role owners, and Finance partners.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the role include:
Be the DoD BU’s point of accountability for OU-level consumption activities and targets.
Drive the entire OU (ATU, STU, CSU, Services) to have effective consumption hygiene across systems.
Develop, guide and assist CSU leadership on strategy and best practices to drive consumption. Synthesize business strategies and present viable recommendations to the leadership team to address gaps and risks in achieving consumption goals.
Implement and manage effective consumption hygiene practices to create a high-quality portfolio of customer success engagements.
Ensure that all significant opportunities (including MACCs/CTCs) have defined success plans, and consumption outcomes are reflected in pipeline targets.
Ensure ECIF spend supports consumption plans for all significant opportunities and spend milestones are defined and attained.
Maintain the effectiveness OU rhythms to track consumption performance, identify blockers, identify best-practices and lessons learned.
Provide a robust set of consumption analytics and consumption trend reports to OU leadership.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Deep understanding of cloud consumption dynamics and consumption reporting
Experience of customer service process design and continuous improvement
Proven ability to orchestrate activities across multiple stakeholder teams and to lead through influence
Problem-solving ability, especially in gathering data to drive decision making under strict timelines and working through complex requirements.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of experience in customer-facing, Service delivery/Sales/Customer Success roles
• 5+ years program management
• Leadership through Influence; ability to drive alignment with cross functional teams to a common objective and define execution priorities against objectives.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage ambiguity and drive for clarity.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Advanced presentation skills.
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
US Citizenship:
The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
Clearance Verification:
This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
Cloud Screening:
Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
