As a Business Program Manager - Human Capital Experiences and Tools, you will be accountable for leading, managing and delivering strategic initiatives in the Human Capital Space which enable Industry Solutions and CE&S (Customer Experience & Success) to deliver customer outcomes more efficiently and effectively in a compliant way.

Responsibilities

Modern Experiences Platforms and Analytics (MXPA) is part of the Shared Business Operations (SBO) team, whose mission is to continuously modernize our operational capabilities, enabling Microsoft to accelerate Customer value. Our role within the organization is critical to enabling the transformation to modern experiences, operations, through solving issues, identifying systemic problems, and driving improvements related to role experiences within the Connected Customer Experience ecosystem. Our team works with SBO and key stakeholders in Industry Solutions to identify and prepare for transformational changes and work in collaboration with key stakeholders, change management teams etc. In short, MXPA helps to ensure that our field roles focus on our valued customers and supported by modernized experiences delivered through digital transformation.  

  

Initiatives delivered will drive positive impact in CE&S (Customer Experience & Success) for roles including Cloud Solution Architects (CSAs), and their leaders, enabling them to be more effective and efficient with our valued customers. You will work in close partnership with teams across CE&S businesses, Shared Business Operations and Engineering. You will also be responsible for driving continuous improvements in productivity, efficiency, quality, speed and cost across the service delivery.    

  

Specifically, you will:   

Lead Workstreams: Manage moderately-complex business initiatives that span one or more lines of business, understanding interdependencies between process, technology and people needs 

Design and enhance current and future-state business processes. Sign off on scope, design, and solution releases  

Manage capability roadmap  

Design and document business scenarios and requirements to meet business objectives inclusive of data centric design in a secure and compliant manner  

Envision, design and optimize end-to-end customer experience based on the business priorities  

Contribute to and influence change management and readiness 

Define business success criteria including objectives and key results (OKRs)  

Steward the design lifecycle, partnering across teams to manage risks, issues, actions, escalations, stakeholder alignment, schedules, deliverables, and engineering partnerships while maintaining legal, policy and compliance requirements  

Leverage real-world understanding of business performance, “voice of customer,” and associated data to generate insights (incl. regional variations, current maturity, adoption levels, and pain points)  

Assess new stakeholder asks to determine business case, scope and priority alignment  

Partner with other teams to ensure alignment and effective management of dependencies  

Engage with Business Stakeholders: Build relationships and collaborate globally with stakeholders and partners to deliver outcomes, ensuring shared understanding of progress and performance. Ensure that stated and unstated goals, business issues, concerns and priorities are surfaced and understood. Influence, activate and orchestrate across teams to build alignment and drive results 

Leverage Frameworks and Standards: Leverage and ensure consistent application of our established Accountability Model for program and project delivery, adhering to all process engineering standards and methodologies

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND/OR 8+ years of experience in technology solutions, consulting, and/or program/product management. 

5+ years of experience in Human Capital Management process or Professional Services. 

3+ years of experience leading complex process, capability and/or data implementation programs/projects at Enterprise scale.

Proven experience in working confidently in a matrix organization to build consensus and align to shared goals 

Drive and diligence to manage and own these capabilities 

Ability to look at the world through the eyes of others and interpret business needs in a way that drives the success of others   

Exceptional customer focus with ability to proactively engage with the business to improve business processes   

Strong & effective communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration and negotiation skills 

Attention to detail, highly organized, ability to positively influence (without authority) and strong process-focused aptitude  

Ability to think creatively, be analytical, objective, and independent  

Data driven with acumen for creating actionable business insight  

Deals well with ambiguity and thrives in a highly dynamic fast-paced environment.   

  

 

Other Qualifications: 

Ideal candidates should be proactive, flexible, self-motivated, team-oriented and able to achieve results through influence across multiple organizations   

A strong business aptitude coupled with an appreciation for the advancement of technology in thriving organizations  

Knowledge and understanding of the financial and operational functions of a delivery organization  

Ability to develop strong, productive relationships with colleagues and leaders to meet targeted objectives and business goals.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $113,900 and $171,500. At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
