About the Role

The Business Operations Officer is a front-line position within the Advancement Operations shared services team of the Advancement Office. Advancement Operations strives to provide outstanding business services to drive forward the University’s philanthropic and stakeholder engagement strategies. 

In a typical week at work, you may:

  • Coordinate and assist with the implementation of the OneCRM solution for Advancement as it ramps up across 2022, including supporting data clean-up, process design, user testing and user training.
  • The incumbent will contribute to the implementation of the OneCRM project for the Advancement division.
  • Administrative support to the Advancement Operations, Alumni & Donor Relations and Development teams:
    • Provision of data requests and mailing lists.
    • Creation and support of events using Advancement’s event management systems.
  • Attend to all frontline enquiries in a timely manner, triage and escalate where appropriate.

About You

This position demands a strong commitment to providing high quality customer service to all clients whether they are University colleagues or external to the institution. The incumbent requires the ability to assess client needs quickly and accurately and act upon them appropriately.

Ideally, you will further have:

  • Completion of a degree or advancement diploma, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training as per the current Enterprise Agreement classifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and customer service skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders in a complex work environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Sound organisational skills to be able to prioritise competing workloads and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently.
