At Counties Manukau Health, we are passionate about providing excellent care to our community. In this role, you will be supporting CMH to achieve its plans by provision of analytics that are used for planning, quality improvement and monitoring purposes.

We are looking for a skilled DW/BI professional to join our Health Intelligence and Informatics team. In this integral role, you will have autonomy to develop quality BI solutions for our mental health service whilst working as part of the wider health intelligence team. You will work closely with clinicians, managers and planners to provide data visualisation and reporting to support decision making.

Do you have:

  • Strong experience in data visualisation and analysis and reporting to inform planning and decision-making – SSRS and Qlik Sense experience preferred
  • Strong experience in Data warehousing development following the Kimball method – Wherescape Red and SQL Server experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
  • Enthusiasm and drive to problem solve

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in information systems, statistics or related field 
  • 2-3 years' experience of providing BI solutions using Qlik, PowerBI, or Tableau
  • 2-3 years' experience in the Design and development of a data warehouse solution, preferably following the Kimball method
  • Advanced T-SQL skills
  • Excellent written skills and proven ability to develop and maintain thorough documentation
  • Experience using health services data is preferred

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday and mainly based at Middlemore Hospital with some flexibility to work from home
