My client is a strongly branded, well recognised company and a New Zealand service industry leader. They are currently in a huge period of growth and are seeking to employ three Business Development Managers to join their West Auckland and Northshore based Sales team.

The Opportunity:

This company has invested in some amazing go-to-market strategies, which will leave any competition shaking in their boots. The value proposition on offer is simply amazing, with not only a fantastic solution, but also strong cost savings (and you know our clients all like to save money). 

We are always told that good salespeople should never sell on price, but in this case, the savings gained to business will be so attractive and the offer so much better than what any competitor can offer, it will be a no-brainer. 

Any business you talk to will find it hard to say no.

  • Which means that you will be able to acquire new business relatively easily.
  • Which means that you will be able to close sales deals.
  • Which means you will be smash your targets and earn sales commissions.

Now, nothing is handed to you on a plate. You need to get out of the office and talk to business customers in your territory.  Lots of them. We need only those who are motivated to get amongst it and be active in the field, out talking to new businesses each day. 

Not every new customer you visit will result in a quick sale, some will be information gathering, getting the details of the decision makers. These visits are also very important to enable you to prospect effectively and keep your sales pipeline full.

And you will need to be resilient as there will be knock backs. 

No one likes rejection, but it is a numbers game, so the more activity you are doing, the more sales you make.

About You:

  • Enthusiastic salespeople with upbeat, outgoing personalities.
  • A good presenter, a good listener, and able to influence others
  • A motivated attitude is key in this role,
  • We don’t require you to have years and years of sales experience.
  • Preference would be to have some cold calling sales experience and the willingness to learn and work hard.
  • We want salespeople who want to earn over $100K
  • You must have a Driver’s license or can get it inside the next month.
  • This position is a high activity sales role, so would not suit senior salespeople, who are used to a long-term strategic sales process
  • You will be able to work on bigger, more complex deals, but you will target only one or two of these a month.
  • We need those who are motivated to talk to the little customers and the ability and confidence to present to the big ones as well.
  • Active in the market.  Enjoy getting out of the office and proactively calling on new customers.

The Rewards: 

  • A base salary between $65K - $80K.
  • An uncapped commission structure that will have you earning well in excess of $100K.
