The role:   

As the Business Development Consultant, you will be based in our Palmerston office. You will be building ongoing relationships with local businesses with the goal of opening up sustainable, long term employment opportunities for our diverse range of clients.

• Educate, consult and coach local businesses on the many benefits of interacting with APM, including wage subsidies and ongoing support
• It’s not just about jobs, you will be initiating opportunities for work experience, Internships and work trial placements
• Mentor and support both the employer and client through the transition into employment to ensure a long term positive outcome for both
• Managing a small caseload of job ready DES jobseekers
• Matching jobseeker skills and finding mutually sustainable employment placements
• Develop and implement a personalised sales plan to support and achieve regional targets
• Work alongside an experienced & passionate employment team

You must be eligible to work in Australia, have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle. You will be required to undergo a criminal history check and be able to complete a Working with Children check.
