Reporting to the Head of Renewable Energy, the Business Development Manager / Commercial Manager will help drive the strategic direction and investment of the organisation’s renewable investment portfolio. This will be through the development of industry partnerships and working with government and regulatory authorities to optimise current energy assets and develop new renewable energy technologies. This is a rewarding and high-profile role where you will have the opportunity to identify and evaluate investment opportunities and present your findings and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
With respect to the desired background and experience required, we are searching for a confident and engaging business development professional who has successfully developed commercial projects across multiple renewable energy technologies. You will also have an in-depth knowledge of the Australian energy markets and regulatory environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Finally, practical experience with managing the development of project business cases, evaluating investment opportunities and commercialising and project managing the early stages of evolving products and services across an energy distribution network would be well regarded.
