What is the opportunity?

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Development Consulting, the Business Development Consultant will work in a dynamic team whose focus is to help RBC DS IA and PH&N IC teams grow their business with tailored strategies and best practices through client referral generation, prospecting, networking with external and internal partners and digital marketing as well as assist with the development of tools and resources. You must possess superior and proven communication & presentation skills, able to thrive in a fast paced high environment and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

 

What will you do?

  • Provide business building insight on effecting, efficient and tactical business development strategies and best practices for IA/IC teams
  • Consult on and create business building action plans for IA teams
  • Deliver presentations on a variety of related topics
  • Aid in the creation of new tools, content and strategies to help generate business for Investment Advisors

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • 7+ years working within the wealth management advisory channels
  • In depth knowledge of the inner workings of Investment Advisor/Investment Councilor teams
  • Very strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Post Secondary education (college or university)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel 50% of time

 

Nice to have:

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or Financial Planning experience and Post-Graduate degree
  • Spoken and written French
