Our Regulatory Intelligence team is looking for a Business Analyst with excellent communication skills.  The team is friendly, motivated and works hard to support the organisation in identifying where WorkSafe should be focusing its efforts. To ensure we are doing that accurately, the team collect information and data from a range of sources and analyse it to produce reliable, evidence-based intelligence.

As the Business Analyst you will be responsible for the collection, collation, analysis and dissemination of all available data and information that supports the planning, monitoring and service delivery functions of WorkSafe. On top of this, your communication skills will be key as you act as a conduit and translator of information between different teams and technical/non-technical parts of the organisation

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience in business analysis work
• Experience with the Official Information Act processesgood technical skills and experience
• Good business writing skills
• Ability to identify data errors and provide solutions
• Proven ability to clearly present analysis and ideas on paper, to write succinctly and think critically about an issue
• The ability to make sound recommendations that lead to positive impacts
• Evidence of good research skills (ability to find information quickly, assess relevance and reliability, draw out relevant information)
• Ability to use software packages including word processing and analytical tools.
• SAS experience is preferable
