We are looking for a Male Caregiver who is vibrant, passionate and has a "Can Do Attitude" to work with our young Son who has Down Syndrome and diabetes .He is a very friendly trainable young male full of enthusiasm and fond of going to the gym.

Expectations of the role includes guided supervision for my young son and we require a Caring, Genuine and passionate person to:

• Provide companionship.
• Assist him and Encourage Independence with his personal care.
• Support him at the same time encourage him to clean his room, to sort  his grocery shopping etc. 
• Continue to encourage him to monitor his Blood Sugar Levels himself.
• Treat him with love, respect and care.
• Act as more of a companion or a buddy.
• To be there for him whenever support is required, supervise him  and encourage him to live independently. 
• Take him to places in the community where in he gets to meet other people from different walks of life.
• To preferably be living in Manurewa, Papatoetoe, Botany and Flatbush

Hours can be negotiated, roughly 15-20 hours per week on a permanent part time basis. We can  be flexible around exact days and times though afternoon shifts from (11:00- 5:00) would be preferred. 

This role is ongoing and it really important that if you are applying, you are willing to remain on as the young man needs a regular and familiar face to help out.
