**Responsibilities:**

**Handle data intensive projects and expose data via business intelligence and data analytics APIs**

**Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)**

**Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues**

**Guide the team on technical solutions**

**Understand market risk domain**

**Qualifications:**

**Should have 10+ years of experience in software development**

**5+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data development using Spark, Hive on batch and real time processing**

**Should have 2+ years of people/project management experience**

**Strong knowledge of HDFS, Hive, Spark and Spark Streaming and SQL engine**

**Knowledge in programming languages - Java/Scala/Python**

**Experience in performing optimization on Big Data platform**

**Experience with NoSQL, Web services, Big Data security/entitlements**

**Education:**

**Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience**

**Masters degree preferred**
