Job Description

You will use your expert knowledge to lead project, operational and IT initiatives. You will be a part of a squad that aims to innovate and develop new ways of integrating personalized client offers into our various platforms. We’re scaling our DevOps and cloud initiatives and want to speed up our transformation in the coming years.We need your drive, outlook and talent to succeed!

  • Serve as a leading expert in all aspects of technical integration and data flows.
  • Design data integration and consumption solutions using APIs and/or Kafka Streams, including application monitoring (AppDynamics, Datadog, etc.).
  • Assist the IT application support and operations teams in diagnosing and solving operational problems.
  • Contribute to the automation of continuous integration and deployment and testing processes.
  • Interact with different stakeholders to understand business needs. Assume responsibility for technical elements, NFRs and the backlog. Collaborate with the Product Owner (PO).
  • Provide exposure on the technical debt.
  • Recommend interventions and permanent corrections for continuous improvement purposes.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of API, DataPower, Kafka and MQ ecosystems, including internal and external integration points (with consuming applications).
  • Support the architecture, design and development teams with delivering solutions.
  • Actively participate in the 12-month planning of maintenance and upgrading projects.
  • Periodically follow up on projects in progress.
  • Work with the enterprise architect and designers to create a high-level design for end-to-end integration solutions by defining the interfaces and data flows between applications and mapping business process activities to support applications.
  • Create an inventory of all cross-application interactions, interfaces and services based on the activity and data flow charts.
  • Define the integration patterns to be used.
  • Support the data architect in modelling the data flow between applications.
  • Help the security architect establish the security pattern for integration.
  • Work with the program leads to ensure that the integration solution is aligned with the program and business architecture targets.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a senior architect and/or designer for project delivery
  • Natural leader, influencer, innovator, and communicator in a large organization
  • Thorough understanding of the concepts, technology and solutions related to a modern ecosystem: domain architecture, microservices, APIs, streaming, cloud technologies (AWS), real-time dataflow, orchestration, straight-through processing, access security, elasticity, PaaS, cloud, DevOps, etc.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development, source code management and DevOps tools (Jenkins, git-Bitbucket, Nexus, Docker, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Java languages
  • Experience with Unix/Linux, OpenShift, WebSphere, DataPower, Kafka and MQ technologies
  • Development experience using API Connect, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful, Swagger, YAML, JSON, SOAP and XML tools/technologies
  • Experience in DevOps technologies: Jenkins and UrbanCode
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical information in plain language and understand complex technical concepts
  • Experience in writing technical documents
  • Leadership, initiative and teamwork
  • Development experience in teams following DevOps and continuous integration best practices
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or the equivalent
  • Bilingualism (English and French)
