The purpose of this role
As an Azure Specialist you will work in our Enterprise Sales organisation as a sales professional with a passion for cloud technology to help customers realise digital transformation through cloud computing. A core competency is to advance the sales process to achieve/exceed Azure consumption targets in your assigned territory.
Primary Responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:
- 50% of your time will be spent being the key solution leader, trusted advisor and influencer in shaping customer decisions to adopt Microsoft Azure. You will win the customers' technical decision through tailored messaging, technical discussions and by aligning solutions partners and resources to guide them in decision making and deployment plans. You will explain and prove the Azure solutions in line with the customers business and technical objectives and relative to their range of deployment options.
- 30% of your time will be spent with the customer identifying and progressing Azure project and programs of work.
- 20% of your time will be spent on ensuring that there is a smooth transition from solution sale into valuable customer solution deployment and value realisation. You will act as the point of continuity, working with the customer and their chosen deployment partners to connect the technical and commercial intent of the solution to the deployment process.

- the EQ and the executive presence to engage with senior decision makers to uncover digital transformation initiatives and a passion to demonstrate how the Azure cloud can deliver those initiatives technically and commercially.
- strong customer relationships, influence long term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor in the journey to cloud.
- help customers build and evaluate their cloud strategy, decide approaches to application and data migration and modernisation and recommend solutions that meet their requirements.
- remove roadblocks to deployment and ensure customer satisfaction to win their business in a competitive marketplace.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
AND 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
