What is the opportunity?
The team within RBC Capital Markets Technology (QTS) is looking for an Automation Developer with a proven and consistent track record of successful delivery.
What will you do?
• Defines vision and partner with TBM program teams to determine the Automation/Testing strategy.
• Develop tools and automation frameworks using python, java, java script etc.
• Work with IT architects/developers/QA Leads/Project Managers to understand process/service flows and perform data analysis to document functional requirements including details on data mapping, business rules processing and audit at service level
• Lead and support during various cycles of testing including Functional Testing, Quality Assurance, Systems Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Work closely with QA/Automation team in testing New functionalities & Deterministic test existing systems
• Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across Capital Markets and other Business Units and with all partners in other IT organizations within the Bank.
• Possess proven ability to lead a team with leadership capabilities
• Adopt product-oriented approach to define test coverage across product lines (cross-product work flows) for Capital Markets
• Can drive quality culture and coach teams on agile processes and end to end JIRA implementations.
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
Must have
• 6+ years of relevant experience to adopt product-oriented approach to define test coverage across product lines (cross-product work flows)
• Experience of designing and developing automation frameworks for UI, API and Big Data automation testing solution using Python, Java, Selenium etc.
• Experience in Data Quality Testing
• Experience with big data development environment and tooling
• Experience with DevOps tooling and solution
• Establish QA processes on agile methodologies (with strong expertise in JIRA) and work with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met and exceeded.
• Define test metrics and drive teams through KPIs
• Compelling bias for action through strong interpersonal & team building skills
• Positive approach, self-motivated, strong relationship building, team players, approachable leader and creative ability to find gaps and build own initiatives
Education:
• Bachelor’s/University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Nice to Have:
• AWS/Azure Certification
• Kubernetes and containerization experiencer
• Knowledge and understanding using Jira and Confluence
• Understanding of IT Standards, Methodologies, SDLC, audit requirements
