What will you do?
- Apply design-thinking and an engineering mindset as part of an Agile team.
- Assist to establish the tooling needed for a 360° view on application monitoring and alerting.
- Design and develop automation using industry-standard automation platforms and scripting languages.
- Analyze operational work that is manual, repetitive, automatable, and tactical in order to optimize processes and then automate them.
- Assist and simplify troubleshooting and incident management by working with teams that practice ITIL.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: Python, C#, Java, or Go.
- Ability to work on a variety of short-term problems simultaneously while making steady progress on longer-term projects.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, combined with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.
- An equal interest in how easily the products you develop can be understood and operated/supported by others as in writing clean and well-documented code.
- Experience with algorithms and data structures.
Nice-to-have
- Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale, multi-platform systems.
- Experience designing and implementing automation workflows using automation platforms such as ayehu NG and Ansible.
- Understanding of Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems.
