Must haves:

• 3 yr+ Demonstrated experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience with the user story & defect management life cycle using JIRA, DevOPS, or HP-ALM.
• Desirable Experience in testing IBM Curam-based solutions.

A note on Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Onsite"; however, the consultant will be remote due to COVID-19 related Work from Home (WFH) direction. Once the I&IT cluster staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Identifies opportunities for automation within software processes
• Designs and executes QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality.
• Designs and writes test automation scripts
• Utilizes test automation frameworks
• Investigates problems in software as a result of testing
• Works with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions

General Skills:

• Experience identifying opportunities for automation within software processes.
• Experience designing and executing QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality
• Experience running tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software
• Experience identifying and documenting bugs and quality issues in development, service or business processes.
• Experience installing applications and databases relevant to automation
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to understand how automation can improve workflow and creating documentation
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements from end-users to develop the best automation solutions
• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Technical Skills - 40%

• 3 yr+ Demonstrated experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience with the user story & defect management life cycle using JIRA, DevOPS, or HP-ALM.
• Demonstrated Test Data creation and analysis skills.
• Experience with testing web applications and reports.
• Working knowledge of ETL processes.
• Experience with SQL to verify data integrity.
• Desirable Experience in testing IBM Curam-based solutions.
• 3 yr+ Experience in developing unit tests desirably using JUnit.

Automation Skills - 40%

• 4 yr+ Experience with automated testing desirably using Selenium, JMeter, Postman.
• Demonstrated experience in automation of Regression Testing.

Knowledge of Methodologies - 10%

• Working knowledge of SDLC and the Agile development methodology.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with RDBMS design concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in identifying risk and providing solutions.

Communication Skills - 10%

• Ability to build good working relationships.
• Positive team player.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
