What is the opportunity?

As a Manager, you will gain exposure to RBC products, services, businesses, platforms to become a subject matter expert.  You will develop audit and data analytics skills, and develop and apply a keen sense of challenge.

You will assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, corporate governance processes, and fraud prevention and detection within Finance and Tax. Deliver results to enable business and functional units to align with financial and regulatory requirements, adhere to RBC policies and procedures and implement industry trends.

What will you do?  

• Contribute to execution of audits in the annual plan, and formally documents audit evidence, in accordance with Internal Audit guidelines
• Assess effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices and governance processes in order to draw conclusions to complete the audit programs
• Discover patterns, insights, trends and anomalies from straightforward analyses, data sets and visualization tools
• Execute basic analyses (e.g. descriptive) and create simple visualization using standard tools
• Supports the Senior Manager in their proactive and ongoing monitoring and discussions with business leaders
• Respond to stakeholder needs quickly and efficiently
• Takes initiative to lead small projects
• Participates in social, charitable or inclusive committees within Internal Audit or RBC

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have 

• 3+ years of Audit experience working for either internal or external 3rd Party client(s)
• Proven experience doing presentation(s) to clients
• Proven ability to recommend effective solutions through identification of gaps
• Personal or work experience as facilitator or negotiator as evidenced by single event or gathering
• Experience as a coach, team captain, and/or mentor in personal or work environment

Nice-to-have 

• Professional Accounting or Audit designation (CIA, CPA, CAMS)
• Undergraduate degree
• Experience in Tax
• Experience using data analytics
