Job Description

What will you do?

  • Analyze project and portfolio data, develop metrics & benchmarks, and provide insightful and accurate reporting to support management decisions
  • Put together dashboards to highlight trends, changes and potential risks/issues in the portfolio.
  • Work closely with developers to identify areas of improvement in manual processes and work on solutions to automate them, including the standardization of project data elements to develop a self-serve project database
  • Review and resolve any discrepancies between source data and presentations
  • Prepare the Business Transformation team to implement Planview as the sole PPM tool by analyzing resource and data requirements and working with the Primary PMO to plan and execute a roadmap
  • Work with Governance team to influence the evolution of project templates to efficiently capture necessary data
  • Rationalize existing project repositories to reduce duplication of data and associated maintenance efforts
  • Coordinate testing of new tools, templates and automated reporting
  • Intake, prioritize and monitor ongoing reporting enhancement requests from regional and large program leads
  • Work with Governance Lead to support the internal audit process designed to measure the health of PMO Programs/Projects
  • Ensure compliance with RBC initiatives’ policies and procedures
  • Manage access rights in project reporting tools; e.g. GAP, SharePoint, Planview, etc.

 

What do you need to succeed?

 

Must-have:                        

  • Post-secondary degree in Technology or Finance
  • 5-7 years of process redesign, reporting and metrics tracking experience
  • 3-5 years of experience managing reporting cycles
  • Good understanding of PMLC/SDLC processes
  • Advanced MS Office Suite experience
  • Advanced experience in data visualization tools e.g. Tableau 
  • Storytelling and dashboarding experience
  • Exceptional problem solver with a high level of attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities

 

Nice-to-have:

  • Background in Finance or Data Analytics  
  • Previous experience with an EPPM (Planview, Clarity etc.)
