Name and description of the hiring department:
The Network team is responsible for deploying outside plant network using engineering work plans and specifications to serve our customers with advanced technologies.

 

The Access Network group designs, plans and monitors wired engineering projects.

The associate is responsible for drawing and creating detailed technical engineering specifications, plans and designs, according to established standards to meet the immediate and future needs of our customers. This includes the analysis of work requests and the technical evaluation of the project through site visits and design information on projects. The associate must create a detailed cost analysis and select the appropriate equipment or facilities. The associate provides support to internal and external partners throughout the life of a project.


Job duties/accountabilites :

  • Design and produce technical plans and specifications and determine equipment/installation requirements
  • Analyze the work requests and estimate the technical aspects of the project
  • Create, conduct and validate site visits / project design information
  • Create, validate detailed cost analyzes taking into account material lists and installation costs and keep a positive impact on budget allocations
  • Work in partnership and/or support internal and external groups
  • Edit various technical documents and databases of the company
  • Prioritize and monitor work activities based on internal and external requirements
  • Participate in project monitoring meetings and work in an agile work environment

 

Essential  qualifications / competencies :

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems and make decisions
  • Ease of dealing with ongoing requirements of process changes and priorities
  • Autonomy and dymanic
  • Precision in the execution of the work
  • Organization and work planning
  • Innovative attitude to simplify the search for solutions
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to share knowledge
  • French, Fluent with no significant limitation
  • English, Working ability in to carry out normal business in the language
  • MS Outlook intermediate
  • MS Word intermediate
  • MS Excel intermediate


Preferred qualifications/competencies :

  • Knowledge of IPAIRE
  • Good knowledge of telecommunications networks
  • Mastery of fiber optic network concepts
  • Training in industrial design, engineering, telecommunications, an asset
  • Knowledge and/or ability to work in agile mode, an asset
  • Knowledge of Network X
  • Ability to negotiate with internal and external clients

Job location address:  2715 boulevard Versant Nord,  Ste-Foy, Québec or 600 Jean-Talon, Montréal, Québec

 

Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
