Job Description

We are excited to provide an opportunity for a dynamic and motivated nursing leader with a positive attitude to join the Whakatāne Mental Health and Addiction Services as an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager. 

This Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) role is responsible for providing advanced professional leadership and management to the nursing workforce in the mental health inpatient ward.  The role works in partnership with the Nurse Leader and the Clinical Nurse Manager to support clinical excellence to ensure a safe and effective practice environment. 

You will work in conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Manager to coordinate and lead a collaborative interdisciplinary team which enhances patient centred care while supporting the management of patient flow through the mental health inpatient unit.

Our ACNM team has responsibility to encourage, support, develop and coach the Mental Health and Addiction nursing team, provide leadership and contribute to the day-to-day control of the department.

You will preferably have a relevant post graduate qualification, have sound knowledge of Care Capacity Demand Management and inpatient acute nursing. You will need personal resilience in this time of system wide change.
