The School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo invites applications for three positions in accounting beginning July 1, 2022. Successful candidates will focus on either archival/empirical or behavioural/experimental research and be hired on a probationary/tenure-track term at the rank of Assistant Professor. It is expected that successful candidates will have completed their PhD by the start date of the appointment. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong potential to publish in high-quality journals as well as strong potential for high-quality teaching. All areas of accounting research will be considered, with preference given to any of Managerial Accounting, Audit, Accounting Information Systems, Tax, or Financial Accounting. The willingness and ability to teach in any of Data Analytics, Ethics, or Sustainability, while not required, will be considered an asset. A professional accounting designation, while not required, will also be considered an asset. The School is widely recognized for its research and academic programs. Based on qualifications, a starting compensation in the salary range of $190,000 to $220,000 will be considered.
