Job Description

Various job tasks will be required at any given time, including but not limited to:

  • Must communicate well with others.
  • Ensure steady product stream from the robot to processing equipment.
  • Inspection of crust per quality guidelines and food safety.
  • Perform basic robot PM’s/TPM as designated by the shift team leader.
  • Use basic mechanical knowledge designed to troubleshoot jams associated with the performance of the robot and crust accumulator.
  • Perform all cleaning and sanitizing functions on processing equipment and freezer.
  • Assist in line set-up/changeovers in processing
  • Proper storage of crust stacking materials/disposal
  • Responsible for proper crust allocation in regards to quality standards/waste.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be capable of working successfully on a high performance work team
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Have basic knowledge of processing equipment and function
  • General understanding of product flow from bakery to processing to packaging.
  • Must be qualified in the bakery, processing, or packaging areas.

Education and / or Experience:

High School diploma or General Education degree (GED).

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and/or fingers; handle; or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; twist; crouch, and crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 70 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
