 The Candidate

As assistant maintenance manager, you will join a committed engineering team, driven with the intent of delivering ‘FIVE-star’ engineering experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich.

We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think ‘on your feet’ during changing situations is also essential.

You’ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations
  
• Track expenses and ability to generate utility bills for residents and hotel’s commercial outlets
  
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance for all the equipment related to Fire Life and Safety (FLS)
  
• Maintain all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards
  
• Create and implement maintenance procedures which includes implementing existing SOPs and also creating new SOPs as per hotel standards
  
• Plan and manage all repair and installation activities
  
• Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  
• Ability to conduct regular technical and non-technical training for the staff
  
• Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in maintenance and hospitality
  
• Computer skills with a strong knowledge of AutoCad, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
  
• Strong FLS maintenance background is preferred. Should be aware of the local FLS related guidelines.
  
• Flexibility to work between inter and intra departments for better execution of the job
  
• A meticulous eye for detail
  
• The ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
  
• A dedication towards improving customer delight, as well as company profitability
  
• A determination to build positive working relationships with team members to reach common goals
  
• A keen focus on safety and security policies and procedures
