Programmed is a leading provider in open space and full facility maintenance services. We are currently looking for assistant gardeners to join our Parks team.
In this role, your main responsibility is to look, learn and act with the new skills you have been shown. A positive attitude and the ability to problem solve and show iniaitive is also required.
You will be assisting to upkeep of a wide range of park gardens. You will be performing general garden maintenance tasks of annual bedding, perennial beds, mass plantings, re-veg areas that also includes pest weed & insect control, general weed control, vegetation control, pruning, hedge trimming, line trimming & mulching activities.
Positive outcome will be that you will get enough experience and training to go for a qualified role and progress your career in horticulture.

You will be an Enthusiastic person who enjoys outdoor work and can adapt to all weathers. Previous work experience in gardening or related field would be handy, however, we will be keen to look at people with the right attitude to learn and grow their skills.
Ability to work in a team and comply with health and safety requirements will be key to your success. Have the ability to listen and learn from others is essential.
Stamina with a good level of fitness and agility is required and you will need a clean NZ drivers’ licence with manual driving skills is a MUST.
