Through a range of programs, we deliver allied health services, assessment services, psychological intervention, employment assistance, vocational rehabilitation, and community-based services. Many of our services are for people who have sustained an injury, illness or have a disability.

About the role

We are currently expanding our team to conduct disability assessments in the Darwin area. The assessments comprise of Ongoing Support Assessments (OSA), Supported Wage Scheme (SWS) assessments and Workplace Modification Scheme (WMS) assessments under the National Panel of Assessors.

  • OSA – single-service assessments to determine appropriate levels of serviced support and assistance required by people who have disabilities to maintain their employment
  • SWS - workplace assessments, measuring productivity and performance of work duties
  • WMS – workplace assessments to identify disability barriers to employment and provide recommendations for workplace equipment and modifications to optimise performance of work role

About you

This contract role would be well suited to complement your part-time work, business needs, or other contract roles. The flexibility of the role may also suit a graduated return to the workforce combined with parenting commitments.  Assessments are required to be accepted and completed within required timeframes, although dates and times of work are negotiated to suit parties involved.

Competitive contracting rates will be negotiated on a per completed assessment/report basis.

Skills & experience

  • Diploma or higher level qualification
  • Experienced disability / community sector workers and allied health professionals, with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience within the disability area. 
  • Autonomous, reliable, motivated and organised
  • Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills
  • Understanding of the impact of injury & disability on employment
  • Professional assessment and report writing skills
  • Ability to work within strict timeframes
  • Sound computer skills/ IT literacy

Essential requirements

  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Current driver's licence
  • Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes
