Job Description
Sales are continuing to grow and we need to up our people-power to be able to continue to supply quality forestry attachments and equipment all over the world. In this role you’ll be responsible for fitting and assembling parts and subassemblies to fabricate Waratah forestry attachments, ensuring they meet specified delivery targets, engineering specifications and quality goals. You’ll need to be pro-active and self-driven in this very busy manufacturing environment. We are currently hiring for two temporary assemblers to work for a period of 12 months (likely to extend or be made permanent after that).
Day to day you'll be responsible for:
- Assembling parts, fitting parts and subassemblies to produce Waratah forestry attachments
- Ensure the Waratah products meet internal targets and quality standards
- Maintain production plant, tooling, and equipment
- Test completed product to ensure all settings and pressures are correct (in accordance with test and inspection sheets) before leaving the factory. Diagnosing faults and implementing the necessary fixes
- Maintain production plant, tooling and equipment
- Loading and unloading of trucks.
- Adhere to housekeeping standards.
- Experience in a similar role, and if you have already worked in a manufacturing environment, even better
- Holder of a Forklift license and Gantry certification is desirable, however not required
- Be physically fit and able to lift 15 kgs
- Great team-player with a focus on health and safety and continuous improvement
- Strong commitment to customer service, both internal and external
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to quickly build relationships
- Strong computer literacy and experience working in inventory systems
- Ability to ‘juggle’ multiple demands and prioritise
- Ability to quickly analyse issues and solve problems
