The opportunity

We are looking for a high-calibre professional to join the Asia-Pacific Tax operations team. This team is responsible for a number of strategic workstreams set up to deliver competitive growth for the Tax Service Line, and to drive client service excellence across our Tax Sub-Service Lines and APAC geographies. This role will involve working closely with the Asia-Pacific Tax Leadership and a number of EY Tax functions including Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC), Markets/Business Development, Talent and Finance.

Your key responsibilities

Planning and project managing various APAC Tax and Next Wave Strategy initiatives including managing stakeholders, activities, and conflict resolution.

Working as part of the event management team on larger APAC Tax events including the Asia-Pacific Tax Symposium (client event) and Asia-Pacific ETU (talent event).

Providing operational and logistical support for APAC Tax leadership calls, meetings, webcasts and workshops, capturing notes, actions and ensuring timely follow-up.

Developing, promoting positive relationships and collaborating with Global, APAC and the other executives in the extended Tax network to facilitate alignment, benchmarking and sharing of best practices.  

Supporting APAC Tax leadership in preparing updates in response to Global and Area requests and contributing to Global SSL initiatives 

Drafting communications and monitoring/collating feedback

Preparing materials and presentations for internal meetings.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience

6-10 years' related experience in a similar role.

Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work alongside and gain the trust and respect of a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

Ability to quickly build knowledge of the APAC Tax business, particularly the key priorities, structure, internal audience, core offerings and our clients’ issues

Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience working in a cross-border team

The preferred applicant will be subject to employment screening by EY or by their external third party provider. Regarding this role, the minimum salary is $110,000 including 10% superannuation.
