Job Description

The Role

We are looking for APS3 Client Service Officers to join a Federal Government agency in Melbourne CBD. The role will be initially for 3 months with a possibility of extension and will pay $39 per hour plus super. 

Joining the Payments and Reimbursements team, you will provide a direct service to clients and providers and will be responsible for processing reimbursements incurred for a variety of health related provider and client accounts. 

The duties consist of invoice data entry and assessing and/or seeking clinical advice from internal health advisors to process applications. Other duties include; 

  • Receive incoming or make outgoing telephone queries to health providers and clients
  • Use computer systems to verify client eligibility
  • Prepare routine correspondence using standard email/letter templates
  • Seek clinical advice from internal health advisors and in some cases apply relevant legislation within administrate guidelines to assess applications for reimbursement and process payment
  • Data entry of invoices 

To Be Considered

As this role is with a Federal Government agency, applicants must be Australian Citizens at the time of applying. 

You will demonstrate; 

  • Strong attention to detail with experience in a similar role (i.e. processing) 
  • Good grammatical skills
  • Ability to learn a variety of computer applications quickly
  • Strong analytical skills
