Looking for a candidate who has recent 5+ years of experience in technology architect role.

Must haves:

·       Prior experience as an architect for applications with Angular front-end and node.js backend, Typescript, jQuery or other popular JS frameworks and libraries.

·       Prior experience developing and implementing architectures and solutions using message based, cross platform integration.

·       Experience using oAuth standard

Description

Assignment Type: This position is currently WFH due to COVID-19 related WFH direction. Once OH staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well.



Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

Define and publish solution contextual, conceptual, logical and physical models following Ontario Health governance requirements.

Ensure project architectures meet the business needs of clients and align with Ontario Health’s Enterprise Architecture direction and standards

Develop/revise architecture artifacts and ensure their integration across all architecture segments and lines of business

Resolve business rule, information and application definition conflicts involving shared services, applications and resources

Responsibilities:

Define and publish solution contextual, conceptual, logical and physical models

Ensure project architectures meet the business needs of clients and align with Ontario Health’s Enterprise Architecture direction and standards

Develop/revise architecture artifacts and ensure their integration across all architecture segments and lines of business

Resolve business rule, information and application definition conflicts involving shared services, applications and resources

Leverage existing best practices in addition to proposing, developing and integrating best practices as they relate to business, policy, information, security, application and technical infrastructure architecture

Act as prime contact for application architecture artefacts developed by the ONE Access projects, programs and portfolios

Ensure accuracy of the application architecture related artifacts (current and target state architectures, roadmaps, standards and plans)

Identify and escalate issues and work with projects to ensure application management and quality standards are adhered to

Work collaboratively:

with internal and external stakeholders to understand Integration needs across Ontario Health and the broader health sector

with other domain Architects as well as privacy, security and policy areas as required

with solution vendors and/or development groups to ensure solutions conform to integration architecture

with external organizations (e.g.: Ministry of Health, Canada Health Infoway, etc.) to ensure alignment of Integration practice

Desired Skills:

·        5+ years of professional experience as an architect for application/web solutions.

Experience using Architecture modeling tools.

Experience developing and implementing architectures and solutions using message based, cross platform integration.

Experience designing/developing/implementing solutions using current technologies and design patterns

Experience implementing Healthcare Technology industry standards such as HL7 FHIR.

·        Solid understanding and experience with Single Page Application (SPA) development

Strong Knowledge of HTTP(s), WebSocket, APIs (Rest/json/XML), oAUTH 2.0

Expert level development skills in Angular, Node.js, Typescript , jQuery other popular JS frameworks and libraries

Knowledge of industry standard development, database and infrastructure platforms 

·        Experience with Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes

·        Comfortable with source version control workflow (Git)

Experience with development for cloud (AWS, Azure)

·        Solid understanding of web standards and front-end frameworks (Bootstrap)

Good facilitator, negotiator and communicator - both orally and written, and be able to produce clear and concise documentation including: presentation material, design/architecture documents and training material.

Be knowledgeable in Service Management, Control and Architecture frameworks (such as ITIL, PMBOK, COBIT, Zachman, TOGAF, Rational), IT Security standards and principles applicable to the healthcare sector.

·        Experience in an Agile environment

·        Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards and WCAG 2.0 guidelines
