About the role

 

The NZ Police Information and Communications Technology Service Centre are seeking to appoint an Applications Support Analyst to the Technology Operations group, based at the Royal New Zealand Police College, Porirua.

 

Application Support Analysts provide 2nd and 3rd level technical and functional application support, administration and maintenance to resolve application and system problems, minimising disruptions to the applications that Police users depend on.

 

A position has become available focussed on supporting Mobility Applications.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Service Delivery - Investigates and resolves application issues and problems providing temporary workarounds and fixes where appropriate
  • Contract Management - Manages and collaborates with third party suppliers and ensure that their performance and provision of application support services and quality is in line with ICT expectations and enables us to meet or exceed service levels.
  • Team Work - Contributes to the setting and achievement of team goals, objectives and standards
    Provides back-up support and cover for other team members.
  • Relationship Management - Develops and maintains effective working relationships and communication networks with relevant Police staff, partner organizations and other government agencies

  • Experience and knowledge of working in an ICT support role, preferably providing application support. 
  • Ability to write technical documentation clearly and precisely
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills

 

The successful applicant will reside in the Wellington area and will be required to undergo a full reference and security check prior to any offer of employment. 

There will be an on-call component to the role the successful candidate may expect to be on-call approximately one week in four.

This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is “to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business”.
