As an established player in the Canadian markets, NBF is committed to adding high caliber resources to its Financial Markets team. Specifically, the Financial Products group, with professionals located in the Toronto and Montreal offices, is looking to add an Analyst / Associate Options Market Maker / Trader based in Montreal.

As a Trader, you will act as a market maker on Canadian options listed on the Montreal Exchange. You will be provided the opportunity to learn and contribute in a fast pace, trading oriented, co-operative team environment that highly rewards professional excellence and individual initiative.

Your Role:

• Act as a market maker on Canadian options.
• Participate in trade reconciliation, risk analysis and risk management of the options trading books
• Take part in the tracking of market events and the execution of rebalancing trades
• Participate in the development of the market making platform
• Take part in the development of volatility strategies

The Global Equity Derivatives Group is active across a broad array of products. You will report to a Managing Director in the Options group and will be located on the trading floor in Montreal. You will have the chance to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and collaborate with many other groups within Financial Markets.

Competencies required :

• Master’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field to the sector of activity, with 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• CFA designation an asset
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg and programming (VBA - required & Python - an asset)
• Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French), essential
• Options Licenses will be required via CSI trading courses (TTC, MX, CVM) to be completed within 6 months of being hired
