What is the opportunity?
The Analyst – Futures Executions, within the CM – Business and Client Services (BCS), works closely with Futures Front Office and Futures Clearing teams, to ensure a controlled process for the following functions, are administered and in line with all internal and external regulatory requirements and standing orders.
- Reconciliation/validation of Give-up and Give-in execution fee transactions
- Payment and collection of all agreed upon/validated Future execution fees
- Ensuring books and records related to Futures Executions are properly reflected in financial results
- Managing overall Futures Execution Receivables/Payables balances
What will you do?
- Perform all operational aspects of CM FIC Futures functions mentioned above
- Work with the business and support functions to optimize processes to mitigate risk and enhance efficiency and control
- Act as key contact to Front Office, Futures Clearing, IT and FIA-Tech for Futures Execution functions managed within the team
- Adhere to reporting requirements for all levels of management, ensuring all business needs are met
- Maintain up to date Procedure Documents in accordance with RBC's Standing Orders
- Work closely with IT on understanding data/application workflows and establishing standard procedures, ensuring proper data integrity is maintained within all systems
- Reconcile and attest GL and Balance Sheet – Ensuring outstanding receivables/payable within the banks processing systems are in line with the balances in the banks books and records
- Participation in the delivery of CM - BCS Strategic objectives
What you need to succeed?
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of end-to-end trade life cycle functions/processes within a Capital Markets, Securities Trading, or similar environment, gained through experience – Specific to Futures Trading
- Understanding of the flow of costs related Capital Markets business activities
- A change leader and conceptual/strategic thinker
- Strong Communication Skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail and an ability to analyze information
- Good working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions and processes including familiarity with front, middle and back office trading and operating platforms and sub-ledger systems
Nice-to-have
- BBA/BCOM/BSC/MBA
- Knowledge of Qlikview, SQL as asset
