Job Description

Hope Psychology QLD is a small boutique psychology clinic located in Bayside Cleveland that is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families. 

We are currently seeking an experienced, warm, and personable receptionist to join us on a part time basis. 

Applicants must be available to work on the following days:

Tuesday  1-5pm

Wednesday  1-6pm

Occasional Saturday work 10am-4:30pm

 

The successful applicant will be warm, presentable, friendly, be invested in being a representative of our practice, quick thinking, and supportive of the needs of a growing business. They will be professional and empathic to the needs of our clients and referrers, responsible for maintaining our commitment to high-quality mental health care and customer service. The role will involve following direction, adhering to our policies and procedures, working within a team as well as independently.

 

Requirements

  • Extraordinary English and grammatical skills are mandatory, with impeccable accuracy and grammatical production in all documents; excellent verbal communication skills and an empathetic approach
  • Understanding of Medicare and various forms of private billings
  • Being able to multitask and prioritise, with excellent organisational skills and the capacity to take initiative when necessary, while abiding by practice policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and respect of confidentiality and ability to manage difficult situations and work under pressure.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a warm and professional manner.
  • Sound computer/keyboard skills.
  • An ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain client accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information
  • Schedule and confirm client appointments
  • Take incoming phone calls and assisting clients
  • Invoicing and receipting of private, Medicare, and Third Party accounts as necessary
  • Keeping the practice neat and tidy with basic cleaning
  • General administration and PA support to the psychologists
  • Safeguard client privacy and confidentiality
  • Managing practice e-faxes and emails
