About the role
WorkSafe NZ is looking for an Advisor to join our high performing Regulatory Frameworks team, based in Wellington.
The Regulatory Frameworks policy team works to ensure that the legislation WorkSafe administers supports it to operate effectively as a regulator and achieve its harm prevention goals. We do this by working collaboratively with the Health and Safety Policy team at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) on its regulatory work programme, providing the regulator's perspective.
As an Advisor your primary focus will be on providing high-quality and timely policy and regulatory advice within WorkSafe. This will involve building strong relationships with technical experts, unpicking problems, analysing options, and providing solutions, including developing secondary legislation. You will also provide advice on our regulatory framework to external agencies and represent WorkSafe's interests on changes to other regulatory frameworks.
