We are recruiting at an Advisor level within the Medicines Control branch within Medsafe. Medsafe is the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority and is responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand.

 Te whainga poto o tÄ“nei tÅ«ranga – What is the purpose of this position?: 

As an Advisor, you will work as part of the Medicines Control branch to conduct licensing, auditing and drug abuse containment activities, contributing to public safety through regulating and maintaining the integrity of the supply chain of medicines and controlled drugs.

 Ngā PÅ«kenga me ngā Wheako – Skills & Experience: 

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced pharmacist, with a current annual practicing certificate in New Zealand.  Knowledge of the supply chain in New Zealand and the relevant legislation is important in this role, as is having a high level of professional integrity, motivation, flexibility and responsiveness.  Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely are a must. Applicants must hold a New Zealand drivers' licence and have the ability to travel throughout New Zealand on a regular basis.
