Job Description
As an Adviser Veterinary medicines, your role will be:
- responsible for undertaking the evaluation of scientific data, and preparing regulatory reports using risk management principles for the purposes of authorising agricultural compounds under the ACVM Act 1997.
- evaluate of scientific data and prepare of regulatory reports using risk management principles for the purposes of authorising agricultural compounds under the ACVM Act 1997 (the Act).
- contribute to key work programmes and the development and implementation of standards, policies, and systems related to the regulation of agricultural compounds under the ACVM Act.
- maintain and improve the regulatory programme though the analysis of and reporting on outcomes and deliverables.
The starting salary will be between $92,073 and $108,321 depending on skills and experience.

Ideally applicants for this role should have:
- a veterinary science degree or equivalent and at least two years' experience in a related field.
- large animal veterinary experience and/or a background in agricultural compounds that can reduce greenhouse gases via pathways such as methane inhibition would be an asset.
- an excellent working knowledge and understanding of the concepts and practices for information gathering, organising and communication.
- ability to apply an analytical framework and quickly understand the nature of technical issues and problems, identify a range of solutions and their implications, form conclusions and provide advice.
- excellent attention to detail and be able to quickly adapt and think on the run.
The successful applicant must be willing to work at the Wellington office where the team is based.
