We are seeking suitably experienced administration professionals to join our dynamic team at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse as an Admissions and ward clerk casual.
We are looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to support our Admissions and Ward teams when required on a casual basis. This role is crucial in providing a patient-centred service and duties range from Front-Of-House (FOH) admissions reception to surgical bookings and perioperative administration support.
These positions cover a range of shifts and duties – from early starts in our Day surgery unit, day shifts, afterhours and weekend work.
Responsibilities of the role include:
· Reception and FOH duties – Admissions, Day Surgery Unit and Wards
· Pre-Admission Clinic administration
· Administrative duties to deliver Admissions Department functionality
Selection Criteria
Essential
1. Minimum of one year experience in an administrative role, preferably in a health care environment.
2. Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
3. Superior customer service and exceptional communication skills with the ability to work as an effective team member with flexibility to respond to fluctuating workflows
4. Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and data entry.
5. Excellent organizational skills, initiative and ability to make decisions
6. Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine love of working in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of quality, compassion and professionalism
Desirable Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge
1. Experience using Meditech or other medical patient administrative software systems.
