The Skinny On Our Role

We've rejigged this role to make it possible to be done.  It would sit very close to a traditional Office Manager role without all the “add-ons".  There is scope for more but the essentials are these:

  • Process Trades orders.  We have 150 active Trade Accounts and so this role will process 10-15 orders per day.  Our order system is a dinosaur and a friend.  Be brave, as we will support you as you go through the time warp and later you will support us when we replace this system.
  • Provide next level service to our customers over the phone, by email and in-person.  Mostly phone and email, to be honest.  This is how we hear from our customers the most.
  • Manage the smooth ticking of our office. We know that the office doesn't run itself, that the stationery and all other office supplies do not magic themselves into being etc.
  • Provide exec level support to the two Managing Directors of the business.  One of us is an admin angel (she wrote this ad) and the other is admin challenged (but he is still a good sort).

** This is not an accounts administration role as we have an accounts administrator on the team already.

About You

We are looking for someone that loves a W I D E range of administration tasks.  You will have the ability to do high level administration tasks with confidence as well as everyday, plain jane administration.  You will be a strong written communicator that is able to create documents that are well written, emails that are clear and online content that is engaging and concise. 

About Us

We import and sell liquid polyester, epoxy and vinylester as well the materials to go with this: fibreglass, carbon fibre and kevlar.  Not sure what this is?

That's ok.  Within a few weeks these words will roll off your tongue.

Our office base is in St Johns (Morrin Road) and our team is friendly and down to earth.  The work we do is hands-on: we have a warehouse onsite and we are a Transitional Facility meaning we open shipping containers onsite also.

We are a growing business with new owners that are moving the business from the dark ages of a paper based system to a digital and data driven nirvana.

Some Important Information About This Role

You must be eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role.

This role manages all the administration for the business and does not manage any people.

This is a part-time role for 20-25 hours per week.  Hours are negotiable with the following parameters in mind:

  • Five days per week
  • 4-6 hours per workday
